Thank you for your interest in hosting an event at the Historic Gatewood Building! We have the flexibility and spaces to accommodate many different types and sizes of events ranging from 10 to 250+ guests!
Choose One Space or Both of Them!
Total Building Capacity: 360 (We will not recommend it)
The Gallery at Gatewood (First Floor): Seated 130, Cocktail 150 - 175
Upstairs on Main (Second Floor): Seated 50
Our main floor is The Gallery at Gatewood. It is handicap accessible. First floor guests have access to the beautiful outdoor patio!
The second floor is Upstairs on Main and is an elegant smaller event space that is perfect for birthday parties, cocktail parties, meetings, baby or bridal showers, etc. It is not handicap accessible.
Weddings at The Gatewood Building utilize both first and second floors! The Bridal Suite is Upstairs and offers fabulous natural light for hair and makeup and plenty of pictures throughout the day!

Prep Kitchens - Sinks, Stainless Steel Prep Table (No On-Site Cooking Permitted)
(2) 8' Rectangle Buffet Tables
60" Round Guest Tables, 48" Round Specialty Tables (Cake, Gift, Sweetheart)
We offer many rental items and services for your added convenience.
Open Vendor Policy
Yes...you may use your favorite photographer, caterer, DJ, etc here at The Historic Gatewood Building! However, to ensure the best possible event experience for our clients, we do reserve the right to refuse any vendor. Please use due diligence when choosing your vendors. We are always happy to assist!

Parking: The Downtown Historic District of La Grange offers an abundance of free on-street parking. There are a few public lots nearby as well...but most guests find a spot within a block or two without issue. For events with 50 + guests, we do our best to reserve the spots directly in front of our building for a guest drop-off area. This cannot be guaranteed, but we make every effort. S Walnut St and E Washington St are both right beside and behind us...they are the "hidden gem locations".
Train: We are proudly 1 of maybe 6 cities remaining in the entire Country with an active train running down the center of the street at yard-limit speeds! This lends to a unique experience and one-of-a-kind photo ops for your guests to enjoy! With this, please be sure to advise all guests and limo drivers not to stop to let passengers out in the middle of the track. If a space is not available, please pull around the corner.
Beverages: Please review our current Beverage Package options listed on the PDF document. It is your responsibility to check back for any pricing and policy changes prior to choosing your package. Due to ever changing economic demands, we cannot guarantee pricing until a beverage deposit is received.
